8 Days Uganda Gorillas, Chimps, and Wildlife Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative from Wanderwort Safaris will meet you and transfer you to your luxury hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Entebbe Botanical Gardens or relax by the shores of Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, drive north to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot. Continue to the park, stopping at the top of the falls to witness the Nile force its way through a narrow gorge before plunging into the Devil’s Cauldron. Arrive at your lodge in the evening.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari

In the afternoon, take a luxury boat safari along the Nile to the base of the falls where hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife thrive. Return to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Walk

This morning, head into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking, a thrilling experience as you watch these intelligent primates forage and play. In the afternoon, take a community-guided nature walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you may encounter monkeys, butterflies, and vibrant bird species such as the great blue turaco.

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 7: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Cruise – Bwindi Forest

Start with a sunrise game drive to spot predators and grazers in Kasenyi plains. Later, enjoy a luxury boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and flocks of birds are abundant. In the afternoon, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Arrive at your luxury lodge set against misty hills.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking – Departure

After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on your gorilla trek. Return to the lodge for lunch and later drive back to Entebbe with a stop at the Equator for photography before catching your departure flight.
