Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Arrive at Kigali International Airport where a representative from Wanderwort Safaris will warmly welcome you. You will be transferred to your luxury hotel where you can rest after your flight. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a brief orientation drive through Kigali.

Day 2: Kigali City Exploration

Begin your journey with a full city tour of Kigali. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a moving insight into Rwanda’s history, then explore vibrant art galleries, local markets such as Kimironko, and cultural centers. Enjoy a fine dining lunch in one of Kigali’s top restaurants before returning to your hotel for leisure.

Day 3: Transfer to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, set off for Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah reserve and home to the Big Five. Arrive at your lodge overlooking the park’s plains, enjoy lunch, then head out for a short evening game drive to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Akagera

Day 6: Transfer to Huye and Butare Cultural Experience

In the afternoon, transfer back to Kigali for last-minute shopping and a farewell dinner before heading to the airport for your international departure.
