Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Wanderwort Safaris representative who will transfer you to your luxury hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax by the pool, enjoy a spa session, or take an optional excursion to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or Lake Victoria shores.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, drive or fly to Kibale Forest National Park, famously known as the primate capital of the world. The drive offers scenic views of rolling hills, tea plantations, and local villages. Upon arrival, check into your luxury lodge surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. In the afternoon, you may enjoy a guided walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a haven for birdlife and primates, offering a perfect introduction to Uganda’s biodiversity.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking – Transfer to Bwindi
Wake up early and head to the park headquarters for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. With your guide, enter the dense Kibale Forest where you will track and observe chimpanzees as they swing from trees, groom each other, and call across the forest canopy. This thrilling experience may also bring you sightings of red colobus, black-and-white colobus, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. After lunch, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a scenic drive that takes you through the terraced highlands and the “Switzerland of Africa.”

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
This is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek may take 2–6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family, but the reward is an unforgettable hour in the presence of these gentle giants. Watch as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. In the evening, relax at your lodge, enjoy a fine dining experience, or unwind with a spa treatment overlooking the forest.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe. You will have a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and souvenir shopping before continuing to the airport for your departure flight. If your flight departs late, a dayroom can be arranged for comfort before your transfer.
